What is This?
The Read So Very Phast bookmarklet lets you speed-read any article, blog post, or web page with just one click. It extracts the main content and opens it in Read So Very Phast, ready for fast RSVP (Rapid Serial Visual Presentation) reading.
Installation

How to Install:
- Make sure your browser's bookmarks bar is visible
- Chrome/Edge: Press Ctrl+Shift+B (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+B (Mac)
- Firefox: Press Ctrl+Shift+B (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+B (Mac)
- Safari: View → Show Favorites Bar
- Drag the purple "📖 Read So Very Phast" button above to your bookmarks bar
- That's it! The bookmarklet is installed.
How to Use
- Visit any article, blog post, or web page you want to read
- Click the "📖 Read So Very Phast" bookmark in your bookmarks bar
- The content opens in Read So Very Phast, ready to read!

Installation Steps for iPhone/iPad:
- Tap the "📋 Copy Bookmarklet Code" button above (code will be copied)
- Bookmark this page (tap the Share button → Add Bookmark)
- Name it "Read So Very Phast" and save it
- Open your bookmarks (tap the book icon at bottom)
- Tap "Edit" in the bottom right corner
- Tap on the "Read So Very Phast" bookmark you just created
- Tap in the URL field and select all the text (tap and hold → Select All)
- Delete the URL and paste the bookmarklet code you copied
- Tap "Done" twice to save
That's it! Now when you tap that bookmark on any webpage, it will launch the speed reader.
Troubleshooting
Bookmarklet doesn't appear in toolbar
Make sure your bookmarks bar is visible. If dragging doesn't work, try right-clicking the button and selecting "Bookmark This Link" or "Add to Bookmarks."
No content extracted
Some pages (like PDFs or heavily JavaScript-dependent sites) may not extract well. The bookmarklet will fall back to extracting all visible text if Readability fails.
Page opens but no text appears
Check your browser's popup blocker settings. The bookmarklet needs to open a new tab with the SpeedRead app.
"Content copied to clipboard" message
For very large documents (like full-length books), the bookmarklet automatically copies the cleaned text to your clipboard and opens the app. Simply paste (Ctrl+V or Cmd+V) into the text box to load it. This ensures even Project Gutenberg books work smoothly!
"Content too large" error
If the automatic clipboard copy fails, you may need to manually select and copy the text from the page, then paste it into the app. The text has still been cleaned by Readability.
